What are QC photos?

QC photos are visual checks that may help you review an item before it moves to the next stage. They are useful for spotting obvious issues, comparing visible details and checking whether the received item broadly matches the information you expected.

A photo cannot confirm every material or performance detail. Review multiple views, use available measurements and read the relevant guide before making a decision.

Request photos of the actual item from several angles. The FTC's marketplace guidance explains why stock photos alone cannot establish its condition.

A five-minute QC checklist

  1. Compare with your order. Check the chosen style, colour, quantity and size label against your saved selection.
  2. Read the measurements. Ask for a clear ruler view where fit matters. Compare with an item you own, using the same measurement points.
  3. Inspect more than one view. Check front, back, seams, soles or hardware. Request a closer photo of anything unclear.
  4. List specific questions. Name the issue and where it appears, for example: “Please show the left sleeve seam close up.” A precise request is easier to resolve.
  5. Resolve issues before shipping. Check the service’s current return or correction options while the item remains in the warehouse.

The examples below show inspection views. They are not QC photos of the selected products on our Latest Finds page.
